2: Vision For Empowerment Center and Capacity Building (VECECAB)

Vision For Empowerment Center and Capacity Building (VECECAB) The Vision For Empowerment Center and Capacity Building (VECECAB) is a Ugandan NGO founded in 2009, dedicated to uplifting youth and families living in extreme poverty. They focus on addressing critical issues such as youth unemployment, food insecurity, poor health, environmental degradation, and school dropout.

Their vision is to build empowered communities where individuals take control of their environment. Through vocational and psychosocial training, they equip youth aged 13-24 with life skills. They also support unprivileged households by promoting livelihood programs and food security, offering accurate health information, and increasing access to education for orphans and vulnerable children.

Their vocational training program adopts an “Earn As You Train” model, enabling students to fund their education through work in our social enterprises, while gaining practical skills. They also run programs focused on women empowerment, health promotion, environmental protection, and housing improvement.

Guided by values of voluntarism, accountability, transparency, and humanity, they strive to reduce poverty and create sustainable opportunities for marginalized communities. They collaborate with international partners, providing volunteer and research opportunities to further our mission.
